This presentation explores the economic and cultural history of Uzbekistan and Japan, focusing on the ancient history of Japan. It covers the first human inhabitants of the Japanese archipelago in prehistoric times, the Jōmon period with its cord-marked pottery, the Yayoi period in the first millennium BC, and the introduction of new inventions from Asia. The presentation also includes the first known written reference to Japan in the Chinese Book of Han in the first century AD.
